Senior Associate Attorney Parkland Health Dallas

Parkland Health, Dallas County’s nationally-recognized public health system, is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to support its full-service Legal Affairs Department. The Senior Associate Attorney will primarily support Parkland’s operations and contracts attorneys, advising on hospital and health system operational and regulatory matters and assisting with the legal review of commercial contracts. provide advice and assistance with operational legal matters and commercial contracts. The Senior Associate Attorney may also provide support on labor/employment and other matters as needed.

The ideal candidate for the Senior Associate Attorney has four or more years’ experience practicing law, preferably with meaningful experience in one or more of the following areas: health law, healthcare transactions, commercial contract review and negotiation, administrative law, drafting policies and procedures, investigations, and/or hospital operations and risk management. Health law and/or healthcare industry experience would be particularly helpful but is not required for this position. Parkland Health’s legal team has substantial healthcare legal experience, and this position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to quickly develop subject matter expertise in the context of a dynamic academic medical center and public healthcare system.

Success in the Senior Associate Attorney position requires excellent judgment, pragmatic problem-solving skills, and the ability to quickly and accurately issue-spot across a broad spectrum of commercial and operational situations. Strong legal research skills are required and experience with regulatory research is preferred.
