Senior Family Law Attorney

North Dallas family law boutique firm focused exclusively on representing women in divorce seeks experienced attorney to manage caseload and direct legal team. Role includes legal strategizing, extensive drafting and/or supervision of drafting, communicating with clients/opposing counsel/court, first chairing motions and trial work, and attending mediations. Ideal candidate will be organized and resourceful, have excellent communication and drafting skills, possess a desire to learn with a strong work ethic, think strategically, and be able to work from home with minimal supervision. Collaborative law training and/or experienced litigation background are pluses.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently draft and customize pleadings, discovery, and final orders
  • Develop strategies and communicating those strategies to clients and legal team
  • Supervise and delegate work to paralegals and other team members
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, trials, mediations, and other matters
  • Communicate with opposing counsel, court personnel, and others in a professional and respectful manner while advocating for our clients
  • Deliver excellent customer service
  • Deliver high quality work product and achieve key performance indicators
  • Focus on begin responsive rather than reactive
  • Provide feedback on systems and recommend improvements to owner and operations director

Qualifications

  • Desire to learn and ability to learn quickly and take on roles of increasing responsibility
  • Ability to work well within team but also demonstrate initiative and the ability to self-direct when necessary
  • Ability to work with a predominantly female client base
  • Positive attitude, adaptable, and open-minded
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, critical thinker, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and MS Office 365, including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Experience in family law, minimum 5 years
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas
